We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Trade Support professional to join our dynamic team in Kowloon, Hong Kong. This role will provide operational support to the trading desk, ensuring the smooth execution and settlement of trades in a fast-paced environment. The position is suited to individuals with strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a solid understanding of financial markets.

The successful candidate will be responsible for daily trade capture, reconciliation, resolving trade breaks, liaising with internal teams and counterparties, and ensuring timely affirmation and settlement of all trades. You will contribute to the development and maintenance of procedures and controls to maintain high levels of operational efficiency and mitigate risk. This is a pivotal role that requires a high level of accuracy and the ability to respond swiftly under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and support front-to-back trade workflows across multiple asset classes including equities, fixed income, and derivatives.
  • Perform trade reconciliations and resolve mismatches in a timely manner.
  • Liaise with traders, counterparties, and internal teams including Risk, Compliance, and Technology to resolve operational issues.
  • Assist in reporting daily and monthly trade metrics, breaks and operational KPIs.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives and contribute to new product on-boarding projects.
  • Maintain up-to-date procedure documentation and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in trade support, operations, or middle office functions within a financial institution.
  • Familiarity with trade life cycle, settlement processes, and financial instruments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of VBA or SQL is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving and organisational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, with fluency in English; Cantonese or Mandarin is advantageous.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities with keen attention to detail.
