We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional to join our client's team as an Accounting and Finance Risk Based Capital Assistant Manager based in Hong Kong. This role is crucial in supporting the development, implementation, and ongoing management of the Risk Based Capital (RBC) framework within the organisation.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and risk management in compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. You will work closely with teams across finance, actuarial, and risk to support RBC initiatives, analyse financial results under the RBC framework, and assist in developing strategies for capital optimisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and analysis of RBC reports and ensure alignment with regulatory and internal risk management guidelines.
- Support the ongoing development and enhancement of RBC models and methodologies.
- Collaborate with actuarial and finance teams to interpret and validate RBC assumptions and results.
- Provide technical support in the implementation of new RBC-related policies and procedures.
- Monitor regulatory changes related to RBC and support compliance initiatives.
- Contribute to capital management and financial planning exercises informed by RBC outputs.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Accounting, Finance, Actuarial Science, Risk Management, or a related discipline.
- Professional qualifications such as CPA, ACCA, CFA, or equivalent are preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in the insurance, banking, or financial services industry, particularly in financial reporting, actuarial, risk, or capital management.
- Familiarity with RBC frameworks and regulations in Hong Kong or other jurisdictions is essential.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and numerical abilities, with proven experience using financial or risk models.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other financial modelling tools; knowledge of programming or modelling languages (e.g., VBA, Python, R) is an advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to work effectively across disciplines and levels of seniority.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines with keen attention to detail.
