We are seeking an experienced Actuarial Modelling Manager to lead and oversee complex actuarial modelling initiatives within a dynamic financial services environment. The successful candidate will manage a team of actuaries and analysts, leading the development, maintenance, and enhancement of actuarial models across various product lines. You will play a key role in guiding model governance, reporting processes, and the implementation of best practices in model risk management. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, and review of actuarial models for valuation, pricing, and capital management.
- Ensure robust model documentation, governance and compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, risk and product development to support strategic initiatives.
- Assess the accuracy and efficiency of existing models and propose enhancements where necessary.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior actuarial staff.
- Support the implementation of IFRS 17 and other evolving regulatory frameworks.
Requirements:
- Qualified actuary (FIA, FSA or equivalent) with strong knowledge of actuarial modelling systems and techniques.
- At least 6 years of experience in life insurance or financial services, with a focus on modelling, valuation, or risk management.
- Hands-on experience with actuarial software such as Prophet, RAFM, or similar modelling tools.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex technical information clearly and concisely.
- Strong understanding of local and international regulatory frameworks including HK RBC and IFRS 17.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects and lead teams in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
