We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented AI Model Analyst to join our Risk Management team based in Hong Kong. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, validating, and monitoring AI and machine learning models that support risk identification, assessment, and mitigation strategies. You will collaborate with data scientists, risk managers, and compliance teams to ensure the integrity, fairness, and accountability of AI models across the enterprise.

In this role, you will apply analytical techniques to assess model performance, identify potential biases, and ensure regulatory compliance with industry standards and emerging guidelines around AI ethics. A strong understanding of financial risk frameworks and experience with algorithmic models is essential. You will also provide insights into model governance, data quality, and scenario planning to support decision-making in volatile market conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform validation and continuous monitoring of AI and ML models used in risk assessment.
  • Provide documentation and reports for model development, testing, and deployment frameworks.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure models meet regulatory and ethical guidelines.
  • Identify sources of model risk, including data limitations, assumptions, and algorithmic biases.
  • Monitor ongoing model behaviour and recommend improvements or recalibrations as needed.
  • Support internal audits and regulatory reviews with clear and accurate model documentation.
  • Implement model risk mitigation strategies across financial, operational, and compliance domains.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in AI or machine learning model development, validation, or governance, ideally within a risk management context.
  • Strong understanding of model risk management frameworks and regulatory expectations.
  • Proficiency in Python, R, or other data analytics tools and programming languages.
  • Solid grasp of statistical modelling, algorithmic techniques, and data evaluation methods.
  • Experience assessing model explainability, fairness, and ethical use of AI.
  • Excellent communication and report-writing skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment with changing priorities.
