We are seeking an experienced and strategic leader to serve as the APAC General Manager for our client's Health division. Based in Hong Kong, this role will oversee the regional business strategy, operations, and market expansion throughout the Asia-Pacific region. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the health industry across APAC markets and will drive business growth through strong commercial leadership and operational excellence.
As APAC GM, you will lead cross-functional teams across multiple countries, manage P&L responsibilities, and be accountable for both top-line growth and bottom-line performance. The successful individual will develop and execute regional strategies in alignment with global objectives, ensuring adaptability to local market dynamics. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, policymakers, healthcare providers, and distributors to build and sustain competitive advantage in the sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and implement regional business strategies to drive sustained growth and profitability.
- Oversee country-specific operations ensuring alignment with regional and global objectives.
- Lead commercial, regulatory, and operational functions across multiple APAC markets.
- Manage full P&L responsibility for the region, ensuring financial targets are achieved.
- Build strategic partnerships with key stakeholders across the healthcare ecosystem.
- Develop high-performing teams and nurture talent across the region through effective leadership.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to identify opportunities and risks.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and regulatory standards across markets.
Requirements
- Proven experience (10+ years) in a senior leadership role within the health sector across APAC markets.
- Strong understanding of the healthcare ecosystem, including market access, regulatory requirements, and commercial models in the region.
- Demonstrated success overseeing complex regional operations and delivering business growth.
- Exceptional leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire, manage, and motivate diverse teams.
- Excellent financial acumen and experience managing large-scale P&L responsibilities.
- Strategic thinker with hands-on execution experience.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Fluency in English; additional Asian languages are a strong advantage.
- Relevant degree or equivalent in business, healthcare, or related fields. MBA preferred.
