We are seeking a highly skilled and analytical professional to join our Asset Liability Management team in Shanghai, responsible for strategic asset allocation. This role is pivotal in shaping investment strategies through in-depth economic analysis, asset-liability management research, and the development of data-driven recommendations that align with corporate financial objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and evaluate developments in domestic and international macroeconomic trends, regulatory changes, and capital market dynamics to assess their potential impact on asset allocation strategies.
- Conduct in-depth research on life insurance business models, asset-liability management practices, asset allocation frameworks, and critical risk mitigation approaches in global and domestic markets.
- Maintain and enhance investment performance and asset allocation databases, ensuring accuracy and comprehensive coverage to support strategic investment decisions.
- Undertake periodic strategic and tactical research into specific asset classes, providing timely insights for portfolio optimisation and capital deployment.
- Author analytical reports and strategic briefs offering viewpoints, forecasts, and recommendations for senior management consideration.
- Support additional assignments and initiatives as directed by leadership, contributing to cross-functional collaboration and business performance goals.
Requirements:
- Master’s degree or above in Economics, Finance, Actuarial Science, Statistics or a related field; advanced qualifications such as CFA or FRM are advantageous.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in asset allocation, investment research, or asset-liability management, preferably within the insurance or financial services sectors.
- Demonstrated expertise in macroeconomic analysis, investment modelling, and portfolio construction theory.
- Proficiency in statistical and financial software such as Python, R, MATLAB, or similar tools is highly desirable.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, with excellent analytical and quantitative skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Mandarin and English, capable of producing high-quality research papers and presenting complex analysis clearly.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of organisational ability and independent working capability.

Salary: £500,000 per annum
