We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Claims professional to join our client's team at Assistant Manager to Senior Manager level. This role offers the opportunity to manage and oversee a wide array of claims activities, ensuring effective and efficient handling of claims in accordance with best practices and regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate will bring solid expertise in claims assessment, processing, and resolution, along with strong leadership capabilities. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams and close coordination with underwriting, legal, and compliance functions to ensure optimal outcomes for the business and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end claims processes, including registration, review, investigation, settlement, and closure.
  • Ensure timely and fair settlement of claims, adhering to regulatory and internal policy guidelines.
  • Lead and coach junior claims staff, promoting knowledge sharing and professional development.
  • Analyse claims data to identify trends, areas of concern, and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Collaborate with underwriting and actuarial teams to provide feedback on claims trends and risk evaluation.
  • Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders, including policyholders, brokers, legal advisors, and service providers.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of claims handling procedures and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Participate in audits and regulatory reviews, ensuring full compliance with relevant laws and industry standards.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in law, insurance, business administration, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in general or life insurance claims, with at least 1 year at managerial level.
  • Strong technical knowledge of insurance products, claims practices, and regulatory frameworks in Hong Kong.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and sound judgement.
  • Proficient in claims systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills in English; Cantonese and/or Mandarin advantage.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional insurance qualifications (e.g., ACII, ANZIIF) preferred but not essential.
