Data Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Architect to join our team in Hong Kong. The successful candidate will play a key role in modernising our data infrastructure to the cloud, overseeing complex data migrations, and supporting strategic business initiatives through effective data architecture and governance. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the modernisation of data systems by migrating existing data to cloud platforms.
• Design, build, and maintain scalable data architectures to support business needs and data governance requirements.
• Develop enterprise-wide data models and establish data mapping practices to ensure data integrity and accessibility.
• Create and drive business use cases, including automation of model reporting and optimisation of data flows.
• Define data definitions, standards, and documentation to ensure consistency across the organisation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Assist in building vital data components such as data governance frameworks, data catalogues, and metadata management systems.
• Streamline data fundamentals by evaluating existing data systems and recommending improvements or replacements.
• Oversee day-to-day (BAU) data architecture activities and support operations with data-related queries and troubleshooting.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Data Architect or in a similar role within enterprise-level environments.
• Extensive experience with data migration to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Strong knowledge of data modelling techniques, relational and non-relational databases, and data integration tools.
• Hands-on experience in defining and maintaining data architecture strategies and roadmaps.
• Solid understanding of data governance principles, data quality management, and regulatory compliance practices.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to design data solutions aligned to business goals.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to explain complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Preferred: Experience with big data technologies, machine learning models, and data visualisation platforms.
