We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Financial Controller to join our client's team in Hong Kong. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial and accounting activities, ensuring compliance with local regulations and international financial reporting standards. This is a key leadership role with a strong focus on financial governance, process enhancement, and strategic planning.
The Financial Controller will play a crucial role in managing budgeting, forecasting, auditing, and financial reporting processes. The ideal candidate will have exceptional analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments to support overall business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Develop and manage budgets and forecasts in collaboration with department heads.
- Ensure compliance with statutory law, financial regulations, and reporting standards in Hong Kong.
- Oversee internal audits and coordinate with external auditors.
- Improve financial processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- Manage cash flow, fund allocation, and financial risk.
- Provide financial analysis and strategic recommendations to senior management.
- Supervise a team of finance and accounting professionals.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; a professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA is highly preferred.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant financial management experience, with at least 3 years in a Financial Controller or similar leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of Hong Kong Financial Reporting Standards (HKFRS) and international accounting regulations.
- Proficient in financial software and ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and develop a team.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Cantonese or Mandarin is an advantage.
