We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced underwriter at the Financial Lines level, with the flexibility to consider candidates ranging from Underwriter (UW) to Senior Underwriter (SUW) or even Associate Director. For more senior applicants, the role will require strategic input, including the development of business plans and the ability to bring in new business pipelines. A clear aptitude to identify opportunities and drive growth is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Underwrite and manage a varied Financial Lines portfolio with focus on profitability and growth
- Contribute to developing underwriting strategies and business plans
- Cultivate and maintain broker and client relationships
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to manage risk and deliver tailored solutions
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within target markets
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Financial Lines underwriting (UW, SUW or above)
- Strong knowledge across D&O, PI, FI products and market trends
- Track record of developing broker relationships and securing new business
- Stable employment history and demonstrated professional loyalty
- Excellent communication skills and a presentable demeanour
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of portfolio performance
- Entrepreneurial mindset with commercial acumen and strategic thinking
