We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Health Bancassurance Ops Manager to lead the operational delivery of our client's health insurance distribution through bancassurance channels. The ideal candidate will drive the execution of health insurance operations in a banking environment, ensuring regulatory compliance, service excellence, and the implementation of best practices across all stages of the customer and partner journey.
This role requires strong collaboration with internal stakeholders, such as product, compliance, risk, IT, and customer service teams, as well as liaising with external insurance partners to ensure seamless service delivery. The successful candidate will have a strategic mindset and the ability to translate objectives into operational deliverables, while maintaining a focus on efficiency, customer satisfaction, and quality control.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee end-to-end operational processes relating to health insurance distribution within the bancassurance framework.
- Manage day-to-day relationships with insurance partners and act as a subject matter expert for process efficiency and compliance matters.
- Provide operational support for new product rollouts, enhancements, and ongoing servicing initiatives.
- Identify and address pain points within the customer journey and operational experience; recommend and implement improvements.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal compliance standards, including processing, documentation, and reporting.
- Monitor performance metrics to assure high service standards are met across platforms and teams.
- Contribute to the formulation of strategic plans by offering insights based on operational data and experiences.
- Lead or participate in cross-functional projects related to business transformation or digitalisation initiatives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Insurance, Finance or a related field; additional qualifications in insurance operations a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in bancassurance operations, preferably focused on health insurance within a banking or financial services environment.
- Sound knowledge of insurance policy servicing, claims processing, compliance regulations, and customer data protection.
- Strong project management abilities, with experience in process reengineering and system implementation preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving capability.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with CRM and insurance administration systems is an advantage.
- Fluency in English; Cantonese or Mandarin language skills would be an asset.
