We are seeking an experienced and motivated Modelling Manager to join our client's team based in Hong Kong. This position plays a pivotal role in leading the design, development, and implementation of advanced analytical models to support strategic decision-making and enhance risk management capabilities across the organisation.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quantitative modelling, financial analysis, or risk management. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure models are appropriately developed, rigorously validated, and effectively deployed. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to complex projects and lead a team of modellers in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain advanced statistical, financial, and risk models in line with regulatory and internal requirements.
  • Lead a team of modellers and analysts to ensure timely and accurate delivery of modelling initiatives.
  • Ensure all models are validated and meet governance and compliance standards.
  • Collaborate with business units to translate model outputs into actionable insights.
  • Monitor model performance post-implementation and recommend improvements.
  • Prepare comprehensive documentation and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Stay up to date with industry best practices and regulatory developments relevant to modelling.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in quantitative modelling, financial analytics, or risk management roles.
  • Proven experience leading teams and managing modelling projects.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with proficiency in modelling tools such as Python, R, SAS, or similar software.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of financial regulatory requirements is highly desirable.
  • Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Cantonese or Mandarin is an asset.

This is an excellent opportunity for a strategic thinker with a strong quantitative background to make a significant impact. If you are passionate about data, analytical models, and driving business outcomes, we would love to hear from you.
