We are seeking a dynamic and experienced RBC Manager to join our client's team based in Hong Kong. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the effective implementation and oversight of risk-based capital (RBC) frameworks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and alignment with organisational strategies across the financial services landscape.

This role demands a strong understanding of Hong Kong’s RBC regulations, excellent analytical abilities, and solid leadership attributes. You will work cross-functionally with actuarial, financial, and risk management departments to monitor capital adequacy, assess risk exposures, and contribute to capital planning processes. Understanding of the “HS EC M” regulatory framework will be considered highly advantageous, as it directly relates to regulatory compliance and capital efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain RBC frameworks in line with local and regional regulatory requirements.
  • Perform capital adequacy assessments, monitor solvency ratios, and provide strategic capital management recommendations.
  • Interpret and integrate the ‘HS EC M’ regulatory developments into the RBC framework and reporting processes.
  • Work closely with finance, actuarial, and enterprise risk functions to align capital planning and risk management initiatives.
  • Participate in regulatory submissions, audits, and stakeholder communications related to RBC.
  • Drive enhancements to RBC reporting tools and methodologies.
  • Support senior management in scenario analysis, stress testing, and forward-looking capital evaluations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Actuarial Science, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field.
  • Professional qualifications such as FIA, CFA, CPA, or FRM will be a strong advantage.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in capital management, actuarial, or risk roles within financial or insurance sectors.
  • Thorough understanding of Hong Kong’s RBC regulations and insurance regulatory environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interface with regulators and internal stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities and ability to manage cross-functional projects.
  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Cantonese or Mandarin is an advantage.
