We are seeking experienced and detail-oriented User Acceptance Testing (UAT) professionals to join our client's team based in Hong Kong. This role involves working closely with project managers, business analysts, developers, and end-users to ensure that systems, applications, and updates function according to business requirements before going live. You will play a vital role in identifying issues, improving product quality, and ensuring seamless implementation of software solutions in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

We have a total of five headcounts available, with four roles focused on general UAT responsibilities and one headcount at the Assistant Manager level, offering the opportunity to provide leadership and coordination within the UAT team.

Responsibilities:

  • Review business and technical requirements to develop comprehensive UAT test plans and test cases.
  • Execute UAT test scenarios, document test results, and identify discrepancies or defects.
  • Work closely with business users to validate solutions and obtain feedback.
  • Liaise with development teams to track and resolve defects in a timely manner.
  • Support the preparation and execution of go-live activities, ensuring systems are business-ready.
  • Compile post-UAT reports and contribute to process improvements for future testing cycles.
  • For the Assistant Manager position, oversee junior UAT testers and coordinate project deliverables.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in UAT, QA, or a related role for standard positions; 4–6 years for the Assistant Manager role.
  • Strong knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and UAT methodologies.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and analytical thinking skills.
  • Proficiency using test management and defect tracking tools (e.g. JIRA, TestRail).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of business processes and ability to translate them into functional test scenarios.
  • Experience in the financial, insurance or technology sectors is an advantage but not essential.
